Nearly there.........

First appointment went well, except he wants all the tests repeated again, which means more waiting. Not sure if there is enough time left this year? I have my next appointment in a few days time, so I'm hoping all the tests results come back ok so we can get started. I forgot just how expensive this process is. The tests we had done cost a fortune and not much of it is claimable. When it was just us two, we could afford this whole process, but now we have a child we have added expenses!! Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the cost of children but rather the cost of trying to conceive them. Why do they make it so expensive???  & why is the government reducing the rebates for this service? For most couples going through IVF it's not because they choose to, it's a last resort!!!!

Little ears hear all.......

I sometimes (more often than not) forget that little ears hear all. Yesterday my little possum informs me while we were playing totem tennis "That was a penalty, so it's my turn". She has only just turned four!!! My guess is when she was addicted to the Soccer world cup a few months ago, she picked it up from there. But this simple comment reminds me just how much can sink in even at the age of four.

Waiting........

Okay, I finally did it.... I rang them :) Now I'm just waiting for an appointment. I couldn't get in for a month, so I now only have a week to go (tad late updating my blog sorry). I'm getting nervous, not sure why, this isn't the first time, well it is with this IVF group. We have been travelling in the past but have decided to give the local IVF Group a go. I have no patience and hate waiting........

Just one more....

Timing is everything. So why am I procrastinating? I keep telling myself I'll do it next week. That gives me time to get fitter and healthier before I make that phone call to the Ivf centre. Realistically one week isn't going to make that much of a difference, only in my mind. Now all I have to do is pick up that phone and call. Easier said then done.....
